Time is passing by and because of COVID -19 we aren’t doing much. We are seeing our friends and family but in a very careful way and not often at all, we avoid restaurants and unnecessary visits to shops of different kinds, and we give our daughters
lift whenever they want to go somewhere instead of them taking the bus as they would have done before COVID-19. The news still reports of daily deaths in Sweden and some in Uppsala. It’s sad to read about USA, 43. 000 cases yesterday and over
50.000 today. It’s not looking good over there! Europe is opening up the borders more and more and some Swedes are starting to travel again. We are amongst the people that travel the most in the world. I have problems coming to terms with
the fact that we start to travel just because we can. I have friends working in healthcare and they’re working hard trying to help and protect us! Can’t we just accept that this year is different from any other year? We’ll be able to travel freely
and safely once again, but this year we should just stay at home. Maybe I’m being overly careful? Maybe I’m still in a quarantine mode from when we went into lock down 13th of March in Montgomery? In any case the family and I are on
pause at the moment.

Niclas has built us a table! It’s really nice! A job very well done!

Looking good

Talked to some of the friends again. Hello girls

Siri is taking care of our lizards; Viper and Shadow
Life isn’t dark and boring, we have a lot to be happy about. Swedes love to talk about the weather and the summer we’re having is pretty amazing! 30 degrees Celsius for over a week. Now it has been raining a bit and it’s also cooler,
but still nice. I mean we can still drive around with the soft top down... to be honest we actually need way more rain, there are hard restrictions about using fire because of the many forest fires. Thankfully we use gas for our grill!

Beautiful evening sky

Coffee and bubbles on the veranda, no not at the same time...

And country music in the speaker...

The red on this weather map can not be compared with the red in the map in Montgomery, but it can still pour down and we do have thunderstorms!

A bit cooler this week.

We have made some "fixing upping"in the house. Things that we’ve been aware of but haven’t fixed for some reason. Minna is renovating her room with new colors on the walls and some new furniture are coming with the container. We’re changing the
floor too into hard wood flooring. We have been taking down her loft bed that Niclas built for her in 2014. To put I mildly he used quite a lot of screws... not even a tornado could have ripped that bed down from the wall:)
Minna has had a lot of help from her amazing friends Mira and Elsa.

Minna and Siri are meeting friends as often as possible. They have really found their way back to their old friends again. They socialize outside at each other houses or in one of the many parks in Uppsala. They are trying their best to stay
safe in this time of pandemic and are showing a good example of how to behave by buying their coffee at a cafe but drinking it outside. Not all are being that careful.

8 days ago we brought Sune into our home. He has adjusted very well. Eating and drinking as he should and letting me trim his claws without fussing. He sleeps a lot as the old cat he is, but he also likes to sit in the window or on the balcony looking
out. When he’s moving around the house he’s letting us now where he is and he loves to snuggle. His favorite place in the whole house is Niclas and I’s bedroom, and that was not how we had planned it! But how can we even try
to shoo him away when he’s so cute:) Sune is a natural part of our family now and we love him!

On Monday the container reaches our home, yihooooo more work:)
