Höst/fall/autumn

Vacker höst och vardagslunk. Det är så vackert just nu och det börjar bli kallare. Jag älskar hösten, men saknar sommaren. Inte så logiskt, jag vet. För att göra det hela ännu mer ologiskt så tycker jag dessutom om att krypa in i tjocka stickade tröjor och sköna jackor, samtidigt som jag missar enkelheten med sommarväder. Sommar i Sverige innebär visserligen att alltid vara beredd på väderomslag, så egentligen är det nog Alabama värmen jag saknar. Det är nu bara 8 veckor kvar på terminen, det känns som att tiden går väldigt fort. Snart är det höstlov med både halloween och allahelgona helg. För de av mina vänner som inte är så insatta i den svenska kulturen så kan jag förklara att vi har en tradition av att tända ljus vid gravarna till minnet av våra döda. Det är en stillsam och vacker tradition. Sedan ganska många år firar vissa familjer även halloween. Bus eller godis är vår variant av "trick or treat" och det betyder samma sak. I år kommer det nog att se lite annorlunda ut med färre barn på gatorna, dumma covid-19! Jag funderar på att hänga godis i träden, på så vis behöver inga barn komma till ytterdörren. 

Beautiful fall and ordinary days. It’s so beautiful now and it’s starting to get colder. I love the fall, but I miss the summer. I know that’s not logical. To make it even more strange and unlogical, I love to wear thick sweaters and jackets but I miss the simplicity of summer. To be fair, summer in Sweden means to be prepared for all kinds of weather so I’m guessing that it’s actually the Alabama weather I’m missing. 
It’s only 8 weeks left of this semester, the time passes quickly! In one week we celebrate "All Hallows’ eve". Let me explain; in Sweden we light candles at the graves to our dead loved ones. But we (most families with children) also celebrate All Hallows’ eve American style with "trick or treat". This year it might be a bit different due to Covid-19. The Swedish government want us to be careful! I’m thinking about putting wrapped candy outside in the trees, that way the children don’t need to come to the front door.

The last day at the golf course? Yes, probably! It was a bit chilly today, only 5 degrees Celsius ( 40 degrees Fahrenheit) and icy winds.
