Hemmasommar/summer at home

Hemmasommar innebär att vi stannar hemma    i vår hemstad. Än så länge har vi inte någon   resa inom landet planerad, men mindre   utflykter måste det iallafall bli om inte jag ska   "krypa ur skinnet". Igår åkte jag ner till stan för  att träffa Anastasia. Mindre utflykter som den   kan nog faktiskt räcka, men de måste bli av. 

Under 1 år hinner mycket hända! Restauranger  stänger ner och försvinner och nya öppnar  upp, butiker som flyttas och dekorationer på stans gator och torg förändras. Det som inte förändrats är dock Uppsalas prakt. Alla dessa gamla byggnader och alla vackra broar över Fyrisån. Uppsala är helt klart en vacker stad!  

Summer at home means that we’re staying in our hometown this summer. So far we haven’t planned any big trips, but some smaller ones around the area are a must, for me anyway. I would go "bananas" just sitting at home. Smaller trips like the one I did yesterday is almost enough as long as we actually are doing them. I went into town to see my good friend Anastasia! 

During a year a lot of things happens to a town. Old restaurants closes and new ones opens in their place. Boutiques changes location and flowers and decorations changes too. But Some things stays intact like all of these old and beautiful buildings and bridges. Uppsala is a really beautiful town.

The Upplands museum. If anyone have seen the movie "Fanny och Alexander" by Ingmar Bergman you might recognize the white building. The sadistic priest lived in that house in the movie.

This restaurant wasn’t here last year,  very nice place with great food and location! Nice talk to my friend Anastasia and a bit of drama too when this guy showed up with two knives. He walked inside and slammed the knives down on the counter yelling that he had been robbed in his own apartment by 20 men.  Three police cars and a lot of policemen came after just a few minutes and took him away. By then the guy was very calm. Hopefully the police took him to see a psychiatrist. I think he need some help.
