$100 000. Dagens guvernör heter Kay Ivey.

Yesterday the international spouses visited the Montgomery governor’s mansion. We got a tour around the more official rooms. The dining room is however used by the Governor and her family on festive occasions.

The mansion was built by the Ligon family in 1907. The Ligon family lived in the house for 43 years before selling it to the Governor to be in October 1950 for the sum of $100 000.
Today it’s the mansion of Governor Kay Ivey.
